John graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1989 and worked for 5 years in practice in Renfrew, first as a Vocational Trainee then as an associate, before moving to Fife.
A native of Shawlands, John returned to take up a partnership in Shawlands Dental Practice in April 2000, expanding the practice and the patient base significantly in the succeeding years.
He has however failed to shake off his acquired love of Dunfermline F.C., indoctrinating his children, one of whom is a ball boy at East End Park, and is happy to commute daily to work from the Kingdom of Fife.
